I built VeinFinder because the problem wouldn't leave me alone.

VeinFinder started as a way to answer a question I couldn't stop asking: why does finding a vein still come down to luck and experience, when the tools to fix that exist, they're just priced for hospitals that can already afford to get it right.

Why I built this.

40% of IV insertions fail on the first try.

Not because clinicians lack skill, veins are genuinely hard to see. The devices that make them visible cost $500 to $850, pricing out exactly the clinics and field programs that need them most.

Every existing fix runs on a $400 lens.

Infrared optics. Expensive, delicate, hard to manufacture cheaply. I wanted to know if there was a fundamentally different way to find a vein, one that didn't start with an optical sensor.

The answer was pressure, not light.

A skilled clinician partly finds veins by feel. I built a sensor array that does the same thing mechanically, then tested it until the data backed it up: 93.3% detection accuracy, under $100 to build.

Now it's a real company, not a school project.

I'm building the AI layer that takes this from single-point detection to a full predictive map, while working through validation, patent filing, and getting it into the hands of the people who need it.

VeinFinder exists because the gap between "this technology works" and "this technology is affordable" shouldn't decide who gets reliable care.
